土豆 - Potato
Today's Chinese word of the day is 土豆 which means potato.
In Mandarin 土豆 is pronounced Tǔdòu.
土 tǔ means earth and 豆 dòu means bean. So potatoes are the beans of the earth.
讓我們煮一些土豆 Ràng wǒmen zhǔ yīxiē tǔdòu - Lets cook some potatoes
